Title: Field Service Technician
Reports to: Field Services Manager
Job Summary
Field Service Technicians are the face of our business. The function calls for a dynamic individual with high mechanical aptitude, capable of demonstrating leadership skills and customer intensity in a multitude of environments. The role requires strong communication skills along with a commitment to service excellence. The individual will work closely with internal plant operations staff for root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action. The individual will also work closely with PPC outside sales, our distributor partners and end use customers to solve problems and close the communication loop.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Have a sense of urgency to drive results. Possess a high level of curiosity and drive to learn new skills.
Perform functional confirmation, test and repair at customer sites as required by warranty or service contract.
Provide customers with telephone support for start-up and/or trouble shooting. Have the ability to diagnose and solve problems from non-technical descriptions provided by the customer.
Work independently with little supervision.
Gather field intelligence to expand company’s knowledge of the market and industry best practices.
Enhance the PPC brand through utilization of all PPC resources.
Provide start-up, maintenance and training for the customer.
